Making Extra Money In Your Spare Time

With the worldwide recession hitting many people very hard it is not surprising that there are a lot more people having to resort to taking up a second job, if they can find one, just to make ends meet. It is slightly easier to make an internet business income to supplement your main wage.

There are no limitations on what you can sell. You could set up your own website selling something that you currently have as a hobby or something you have always been interested in. Or you could start selling on one of the many online auction sites that have now emerged.

Make money blogging by encouraging advertisers to advertise on your blog site with links to their own, if your blog is good and a lot of people are following it then you should be able to make money by going down this route. You will need your blog to stand out from the crowd however as there are so many people blogging these days.

Going into online wholesale is another option. This could potentially earn you more than a little bit of extra income but you would need to ensure you had the space to store the items.

It is always far easier to go into an area of work where you have some sort of information about the product you are selling, as your customers will have more confidence in you if you know what you are talking about.

For example if you were interested in accessories or in jewelry then you could sell fine costume jewelry wholesale. You would be able to inform potential customers of what items of clothing they could display the jewellery with to make it look its best.

As not everyone has internet access or the inclination to try online selling then why not try putting an advert in your local paper advertising your unwanted household or clothing goods for sale.

Or maybe you could invest a small amount of money in some wholesale items and then set up a stall at a local market and gage what the most popular selling items are and meet lots of people whilst doing it.

If selling is not your things then you could always offer a typing service or home telephone answering service to local business who may not be able to employ someone full time or may not have the room for them at their premises. Or you could try dog walking for those that are out at work all day. Or house sitting for people going on holiday.
