Boring Day At The Office… Again
Everything was completed in about five minutes this morning and the rest of the day is spent staring at my screen-saver. My boss came in with some busy work. I finished that in about two minutes and decided that I needed a break.
I decided the best way to achieve that state of mind would be to type random words into Google, and see where I wound up. I thought I would to start with something simple, so I chose to look up information on my company stock. This, of course, led me to many different websites, most of them completely irrelevant to my company, or stocks in general.
There were a few relevant ones also, namely one highlighting a specific forex indicator, but I had to go through a few pages before I found it. I quickly realized that this was far too boring a topic to search, and might turn up some websites that could get me into trouble.
Mission aborted and onto the next one. Shopping is always a fun diversion. A costly diversion but it will keep my mind off the mind numbing boredom. Our annual vacation is coming up and we each need a bathing suit and some vacation outfits. The trip to Mexico was bought on the cheap because we have a friend that is a travel agent.
My husband was looking for a new watch. I checked out the men’s watches but couldn’t find the one that was perfect. I located a tie that would look good with the new dress I picked out. I did locate a shirt for him to wear on the beach. Finding style on a budget is an art. The key is to comparison shop at at least five different stores.
Moving from an apartment to a house left us with a big gap in furniture needs. The bedroom was taken care of but we were looking into dining sets. My husband wants a bar but I thought it would look a little tacky. This all led me to looking at napkins and table cloths. There were a many colors that I wanted. I thought about plum but it was not as striking as the dark cherry red.
I was about to give up looking, when a small ad in the bottom of the page caught my eye. The set they featured was perfect; the right size, shape, color… I think I found the perfect set! Then I saw the price tag…. Maybe I could talk my husband into making payments on it for the next five years!
