How Are Backlinks Valuable For Improving Search Engine Rankings In The Search Engines?
There is no doubt in my mind that those amoungst you who are aware of how Google works and achieving top rankngs will reach agreement with me when I say that backlinks are a vital factor in achieving high search engine placement. It is of course beneficial if you can get them for no cost.
Some of you will be new so I will quickly explain that a backlink is when all’s said and done another link from another website that is directed at your website, sometimes they are called inbound links. So let’s say for example you wrote an article and put a link in the author resource box that points back to your website, that’s a backlink! Seems simple enough right? Another example is if you asked someone to put a link on their site to yours.
Most people would not have too many problems getting incoming linking but one thing you should bear in mind is that it’s best to get links from other sites that are relevant to your website. Lets say your site subject is about travelling the world, getting your links from other travelling sites will bring you better results, because search engines love meaningful content. So every backlink that comes from a relevant site will be more effective. Relevant backlinks are far more impacting in a positive way.
If you work hard at it you can make good position for most key phrases, visibly there are some key phrases with extremely high competition already but there are still many, many, many you can still tackle. It seems to be a case of who can get the most backlinks, so if you want to outrank your friend, foster more incoming links then they have and given that your content is relevant to your desired key phrase the chances are your site will place higher in the search engine rankings.
Not much to it really is there? What you must remember is you must be constant, Google especially jumps for joy when they see lots of links appearing like clockwork, they will take a shine to you and consequently will rank you higher. If you just build a few links and then stop Google often gets dis-heartened and will drop your rankings and nobody wants that!
It sucks getting other sites to link to you and it can also be very time consuming to get your articles published in the directories, I’ve done this before so I know! What would be really good is if we had a tool that would cut down the work for us and allow us to spend more time on our business whilst our links were being built for us.. Even better if the work can be done for us and we don’t have to lift a finger!
